Pets play a huge role in our lives and it can be devastating watching them age and pass away. A custom pet memorial box can be used as an urn for their ashes if your furchild is cremated or a storage solution for fur or collars and meaningful keepsakes.
A name plaque can be included.
Dani has been perfecting her polymer clay skills and technique since 2015 and is now based out of her home in Adelaide, Australia. She grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, including pet cats and dogs and this is probably where her love for animals began. She prides herself on being able to capture the traits that make each pet unique. To help with this, please let her know if your pet has any signature facial expressions, specific markings etc that you want included.
The timber box is 11 x 11 x 7.5cm. The pet face then extends beyond these dimensions.
The pet faces are sculpted from polymer clay, baked to harden. Colouring and details are added with acrylic paint, before it is sealed. The box is a raw unfinished timber. The name label is hand-stamped aluminium.
You’ll need to send through at least a few photos of the pet that you want the sculpted face modelled on. Please check out the suggested photos to send through.
Production and processing time
The average turnaround time for custom pet memorial boxes is 2 weeks, plus shipping. However, in peak periods (eg Christmas, Mother’s Day), this May be as long as 6 weeks. If there is a specific date you need the item by, feel free to make contact to avoid disappointment.
Whilst the style is ‘lifelike’, there are limitations due to the size and materials used, making the outcome an artistic likeness, rather than a perfect replica.
The name plaque is hand-stamped, thus will be perfectly imperfect, as is the beauty of handmade.
Please read the care instructions prior to purchasing, to ensure you will find the item suitable.
