Pets play a huge role in our lives and it can be devastating watching them age and pass away. A custom pet sculpted figurine is one way to help them live on.
Perhaps you couldn’t possibly get married without your fur family present and want them featured on or beside your wedding cake.
Please contact Dani for custom pricing if you wish to have any extra items added, such as a sign saying 'I do too’ etc.
Dani has been perfecting her polymer clay skills and technique since 2015 and is now based out of her home in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. She grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, including pet cats and dogs and this is probably where her love for animals began.
She prides herself on being able to capture the traits that make each pet unique. To help with this, please let her know if your pet has any signature facial expressions, specific markings etc that you want included.
Sizes
Small
Approx 4-6cm in sitting position (or equivalent of laying or standing)
Medium
Approx 6-10cm in sitting position (or equivalent of laying or standing)
Large
Approx 10-15cm in sitting position (or equivalent of laying or standing)
Base Materials
The pet figurines are sculpted from polymer clay, baked to harden. Wire is used to reinforce limbs as required. Colouring and details are added with acrylic paint, before it is sealed.
Pet photos
You’ll need to send through at least a few photos of the pet that you want the figurine modelled on. Please check out the suggested photos to send through.
Dani’s happy for you to email the photos or to message them through Instagram or the Facebook page.
Production and processing time
The average turnaround time for custom figurines is 2-4 weeks, plus shipping. However, in peak periods (eg Christmas, Mother’s Day), this May be as long as 6 weeks. If there is a specific date you need the item by, feel free to make contact to avoid disappointment.
If the order is for a wedding, a minimum of 3 months is recommended, however, if you require a faster turnaround, please make contact.
Style
Whilst the style is ‘lifelike’, there are limitations due to the miniature size and materials used, making the outcome an artistic likeness, rather than a perfect replica.
Food Safety
Please advise Dani if you plan to mount the figurine directly onto a cake. As the polymer clay, paint and sealant aren’t certified as good safe, a barrier will be required. This can be achieved in a number of ways. You can discuss options with your cake maker, or Dani can provide a small cake board upon request for this purpose.
Pet memorial gift
The pet photo frame arrives beautifully packaged, so is suitable to be sent directly to the recipient, if you wish. You can even select a greeting card and Dani can write a little note within if you are purchasing as a gift.
Care instructions
Please read the care instructions prior to purchasing, to ensure you will find the item suitable.
